New mentoring scheme for social enterprises

London SE1 website team

South Bank Employers' Group has been awarded additional funds from the Cross River Partnership to support a mentoring programme for Social Enterprises.

This funding will help to build on the successes of the pilot programme that was launched in November 2003 funded by London Central Learning and Skills Council and the Cross River Partnership. A total of thirty three people from large organisations, social enterprises and small medium enterprises have benefited from being involved in the programme.

South Bank Employers' Group is currently recruiting individuals from Social Enterprises to benefit from six months of mentoring support. Individuals will be carefully matched to an experienced manger from one of the large organisations in Lambeth, Southwark, Westminster and City of London. Each mentor is fully trained before the programme commences to ensure a quality of support is provided. The sessions will enable individuals to confidentially discuss an issue or project they would like to focus on. The mentor will then help individuals find their own way to their solution and will not give them answers.

If you are interested in taking part in the programme or require further information please contact Judith Chen WETN Project co-ordinator on 020 7202 6900 to register your interest.
