New Acorn development on Westminster Bridge Road

Developer Acorn Homes, already active in Bermondsey, has received planning consent for a brand new development at 158 Westminster Bridge Road.

Acorn – which claims that it is "strongly committed" to the regeneration of the SE1 area – has announced a "compact" scheme of 14 one and two bedroom apartments, with prices starting from approximately 270,000.

"As homebuyers in the Capital now move on average every two years, the importance of creating a strong timeless product becomes apparent during the resale period," commented Dan Marsden, Acorn's sales and marketing director. "At Acorn we primarily work with new emerging architects to ensure that when it comes to design and specification, we can maximise the potential of each property."

The site is on the northern side of Westminster Bridge Road, between Lower Marsh and Baylis Road and was formerly occupied by the Rajdoot Indian restaurant.
