MediCinema is a charity which has formed a unique partnership with the health sector and the film industry. The first MediCinema opened at St Thomas' Hospital and brings the theraputic benefits of a true cinema experience to those who would not normally be able to enjoy the magic of the silver screen.

The cinema allows easy access for patients – including those in beds and wheelchairs – their carers and families.

Two nurses are always on hand in the cinema to provide medical supervision and the cinema manager tours the wards to distribute free tickets to patients and their families.

MediCinema's star-studded list of patrons includes Old Vic artistic director and SE1 resident Kevin Spacey.
