Four rescued from Old Kent Road blaze
The Old Kent Road was closed to traffic in both directions on Sunday afternoon while firefighters tackled a fire in flats above a bar and restaurant.
Old Kent Road was closed between Dunton Road and Albany Road while six fire engines attended the blaze at the bar, opposite the Dun Cow Surgery close to Tesco.
Firefighters rescued two people from the third floor, one person from the second floor and a fourth person from the staircase.
Breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras were used. All people in the building were accounted for.
