What We Did to Weinstein at the Menier Chocolate Factory

Anna Swindle and Kelly Leavitt

This dark comedy written by Ryan Craig has a variety of themes including coming of age, religion, cultural displacement and war.

The small cast and intimate setting make it easy for the audience to feel connected with the performance and its characters.

While each actor brings important elements to the show, Vineeta Rishi, Harry Towb and Miranda Pleasence give especially stunning performances.

The storyline includes many flashbacks from different characters' perspectives which have the potential to be confusing, but this cast's impressive transitions make the time changes easy to follow without being distracting. Three of the seven actors have been effectively cast in two roles.

The Menier Chocolate Factory acts as an excellent venue with a cozy restaurant and theatre. The show itself costs £18, but for £25 viewers can extend their evening with a two course dinner in the restaurant as well as a seat at the play. Despite its deceptive name, do not come to the Menier Chocolate Factory expecting a factory setting or a chocolate snack during interval.

• The Menier Chocolate Factory is located at 51/53 Southwark Street
