Veteran car run comes to Lambeth streets
Almost 500 veteran cars - all more than 100 years old - passed along Lambeth Palace Road on Sunday morning en route from Hyde Park to Brighton.

The London to Brighton Veteran Car Run takes place each year to celebrate the anniversary of the raising of the speed limit – in 1896 – for 'light locomotives' from 4 miles per hour to the breathtaking speed of 14 miles per hour and the abolition of the requirement for these vehicles to be preceded by a man on foot.
