Southwark Jubilation

A lunchtime pig roast in Borough Market is just one of the special events planned in and around Borough Market for Jubilee Sunday 2 June.

Southwark Jubilation, SE1's main community Jubilee party, will take place from 12 noon until the evening in and around the Cathedral and Market. An invitation is going out to performers to contribute to this special local occasion.

Already taking part are bands, trumpeters, pipers, morris dancers, jugglers, human statues and Pearly Kings and Queens. There will also be Punch and Judy shows, poetry reading and fancy dress and dancing.

The main Cathedral Eucharists are at 11am, just before the outdoor party starts, and 6.30pm. At 3pm there will be a Songs of Praise service with Coronation music, celebrity readers and hymn requests.
