16-year-old arrested over Tabard Gardens stabbing

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Thursday morning as part of the police investigation into the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy on the Tabard Gardens Estate on Tuesday night.

The 14-year-old victim, a pupil at Walworth Academy, remains in a critical condition.

Police officers believe the victim was involved in an altercation with a group of youths in Tabard Street before being discovered in nearby Great Dover Street.

Police cordons in Tabard Street and Becket Street were lifted on Wednesday evening.
