Appeal for witnesses in The Cut

Police are appealing for information and witnesses regarding a fatal collision in the Cut last Tuesday 20 May.

At approximately 9.40am a white lorry (similar to a skip lorry) was driving east in The Cut. As it turned left opposite the Old Vic into Cornwall Road it collided with a woman cyclist.

The woman was taken to hospital but died shortly after arriving.

She was Emi Larcombe, 48 years, an accountant from SW1. She leaves a husband and eight year old daughter. She originally came from Japan. She was on her way to work when it happened.

Anyone with information should contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8247 6935.

The driver of the lorry – a 23 year old man – was spoken to at the scene.

Enquiries into the cause continue.

The lorry was an 'N' reg Foden 4 axle rigid skip type lorry.
