80-year-old woman robbed in Old Kent Road: police appeal

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward after an 80-year-old woman was serious injured when her bag was stolen in Old Kent Road.

The incident happened at around 10.40am on Monday 12 September.

The elderly victim was knocked to the ground and suffered a serious shoulder injury.

"A vulnerable victim was targeted in this incident which took place on a very busy road," says Detective Constable Rob Smith from Southwark's priority crime unit.

"We need to speak to anyone who witnessed the snatch or has any information that will help our investigation."
