Pedestrian and motorcyclist injured in Southwark Street collision

Southwark Street was closed to traffic for several hours on Friday morning after a collision between a pedestrian and a motorcyclist.

The collision took place at about 8.50am close to the junction of Southwark Street and Lavington Street.

Both the male motorcyclist and female pedestrian were taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

Both are said to be in a stable condition and neither is believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
