Anchor & Hope is Gastropub of the Year
The Anchor & Hope has won the London Gastropub of the Year award.
The pub, on the corner of The Cut and Hatfields, only relaunched itself under its old name last year.
It is the first winner in a new category introduced this year by the ITV London (formerly Carlton) Restaurant Awards.
Newscaster Mary Nightingale hosted the Tio Pepe ITV London Restaurants Awards 2004 evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
In this eighth year of the Awards, a total of 6,000 restaurants competed for the fifteen awards.
