Jonathan Burrows, Siobhan Davies, Matteo Fargion

Standing up for the abstract in a post-modern world.

Parallel Voices brings to Siobhan Davies Studios many of the key dance and theatre artists of our generation in a series of five events that place dance and performance at the heart of the debate on art and culture in London. Over four evenings, three artists will discuss their passions in an open session of enquiry and debate.

Jonathan Burrows is a former member of the Royal Ballet, who has been an independent choreographer for the last fifteen years. His work is invited widely internationally, and he is currently touring Europe with a trilogy of pieces made and performed with the composer Matteo Fargion.

Siobhan Davies has been one of the UK's leading choreographers for many years, inspiring generations of dancers and dance-makers through the rigour and openness of her ideas and process. Her new dance space has become a focus for the independent dance scene in London.

Matteo Fargion is a composer and performer, best known for his collaborations with Jonathan Burrows. He also writes music for dance and theatre, including last year's 'In Plain Clothes' for Siobhan Davies, with whom he is collaborating again in 2007. He is a visiting member of faculty at PARTS, the school of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in Brussels.
