This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

HMS Belfast has had a long association with the Irish regiments since the day she was launched on 17 March 1938. HMS Belfast will be joining forces with the London Irish Rifles.

The day will start with a short ceremonial parade onto the ship accompanied by members of the regiment's London Irish Rifles Pipes and Drum band. At the end of the ceremony visitors will be presented with shamrock, signifying traditional Irish good luck and adults will be able to take a tot of Gunfire, a mixture of tea and rum, with the regiment.
