Annual scullers' river race from London Bridge to Cadogan Pier at Chelsea founded by Thomas Doggett and first contested in 1715. The young contestants, newly qualified Thames Watermen and Lightermen, are followed by a huge flotilla of spectator launches on the four mile and five furlong course.
Good viewing from Bankside, the Bridges and, of course, the Doggett's pub on the end of Blackfriars Bridge.
