Albert Whitbrace is alive and drowning in the Bay of Naples. As his cries for help and leaky lifebelt are ignored by passing cruise ships, his wife pleads with the National Help-You-Out Year Committee to save him. While they come to a decision, Albert is given the opportunity to stay afloat by learning a raft of new skills - basket weaving, bricklaying or maybe even learning the piano?

6 weeks on as he has become a tourist attraction and Mrs Whitbrace is starting to enjoy the attention of her husband's new found fame

This is a fabulous frenzy of comedy from 'one of our most gifted comic writers' (Daily Telegraph). N.F. Simpson inspired Monty Python, Brass Eye and a whole new generation of brilliant comedians.

Sharp, satirical, witty and dark, he holds a mirror up to the ridiculous bureaucracy ruling our charity systems and the creation of celebrity through tragedy. In preparation for the charity fatigue we all feel in the run up to Christmas, This first London revival is the ideal antidote as the winter nights draw in.

Cast Hannah Boyde, Jan Goodman, Joshua Hemmings, Peter Henderson, Craig Hendry, Joanne Hildon, Elinor Keber, Rebecca Ramsden, Nicola Sanderson.
