This exhibition is bringing together the artists Nick Turner and Stephanie Rubin who have a similar understanding of how stories are expressed through the context of landscape/scenery.
Stephanie Rubins' series of work consists of 3D landscape models and large scale charcoal drawings. These works make a reference to paintings, prints, photographs, tourist guides and ordinance survey maps. The results are akin to architectural and theme park attraction models.
Nick Turner's photographs are taken using scale models and figures. His images play with the concept of voyeurism and of memory. There is a relationship to picture postcards, film stills and written messages of days gone by which create an eerie narrative.
