The Great Flag Event at Potters Fields Park

Tyskie, Poland's favourite beer, has created a giant football supporters flag to help cheer on the national team in the 2008 European Championship.

The football crazy nation has captured thousands of signatures across 18 Polish cities on a flag that measure some 53 feet! The next stop for fans to register their support is at Potters Fields Park.

The flag which will be made up from a patchwork of supporter's signatures will be joined to create a monster token of support to be presented to the national team at their friendly match with Denmark on 1st June prior to their departure to the tournament.

The Polish have a history of creating spectacular displays of their dedication to their football team.

In March and April this year, the national monuments across nine cites were adorned with the red and white of the team, over a million flags were hung from the windows of the highest tower blocks to the smallest of lodgings.

"This is a unique opportunity for Polish supporters in the UK to play a part in football history" said Tomasz Kanton of Kompania Piwowarska. "If Euro 2008 was won on passion and enthusiasm then Poland would be lifting the cup!"

Fans across London will also be able to watch the beautiful game Polish style in a number of dedicated bars that will be taking part in the Polish celebrations. The venues will be adorned in team colours and what better accompaniment to enjoy the match with than a bottle of cold Tyskie!"
