Harvestival at Potters Fields Park
Virgin Radio's JK & Joel at the Harvestival on Monday

As Ribena's growers prepare to harvest their blackcurrant crops, Harvestival will be touring the country in celebration of the great British outdoors.

The first event is at Potters Fields Park and offers city dwellers a winning combination of countryside contests and farm food experiences, all accompanied by live music.

Harvestival-goers will be challenged to compete in a series of countryside games. If you're partial to a pie and think you can beat the best then head down to the blackcurrant pie eating contest. If you haven't got the appetite to enter then the berry shy is the one for you.

A farmers' market will offer products ranging from jams and summer berries to cheese and free-range farm produce.

In the wildlife area you can find out how The Wildlife Trusts work together with Ribena growers to promote wildlife friendly farming across Ribena's blackcurrant farms.
