Village Fete at London South Bank University

A free day of games and entertainment on Keyworth Street, which will be pedestrianised and transformed with layers and layers of green grass and hay bales.

Acts confirmed include the South London Jazz Orchestra, party music from Ballalouda and Afro Brazilian Funk band Saravah Soul. There will also be a variety of popular activities for children including face painting, craft making workshops and a petting zoo, courtesy of Freightliners City Farm, full of friendly farm animals to meet and greet.

There will be country-style games and entertainment such as a coconut shy and strength tester.

Food will be available as well as live entertainment

The event will make use of the university's bio diesel generator which will supply the electrics to power the stage and some of the food stalls.

Suppliers and entertainment have all been locally sourced and all organic materials such as the bales of hay and grass will be replanted after the event or donated to the local city farm.
