New work includes extravagant glass bowls and vessels, wall and window panels, lightboxes and jewellery, as well as smaller items that would make ideal Christmas gifts.
Teepee Glass is a collective of eight glass artists who met at Central Saint Martins and named their group after having spent ten nights under a canvas teepee at the British Glass
Biennale in 2006.
Their work ranges from glass vessels to jewellery to windows and installations which dazzlingly display their diverse glass skills and artistry.
Teepee Glass will be joined by Angela Thwaites as guest artist. She has made a name for herself in the glass world for her cast work, but her work in fused glass is less well known and this will be a perfect opportunity to see this aspect of her oeuvre.
The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of talks. Peter Layton of London Glassblowing will speak on Friday 12 December at 7pm and Angela Thwaites and Adam Aaronson will speak on Friday 19 December at 7pm.
The eight artists are Lucy Batt, Andrew Boddington, Maria Fagan, Iain Gutteridge, Brett Manley, Alex R, Pippa Stacey and Wendy Stone.
