Italian Charcuterie

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The Basque Salami stall at Borough is very popular and for a long time the proprietors have been searching for good charcuterie from Italy. In August 2008 they visited a farm in the northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna: in the hills inland from Rimini, Matteo and Fausto Zavoli breed pigs that spend their lives in the beech woods on their land. The Zavoli brothers represent a new generation of Italian breeder/ producer that is eschewing modern production methods in pursuit of quality and tradition. The charcuterie the brothers make from these pigs is fabulous.

Salami, prosciutto, lardo, pancetta, coppa and spalla: the full range will be sold from 'the Hub', at the heart of Borough Market in front of the entrance to Roast restaurant, over the Easter weekend from 9th - 11th April and again on Thursday 21st- Saturday 23rd May.

All regular shoppers and friends and also those not yet familiar with the glories of Borough Market are cordially invited to come and taste this delectable discovery.
