Employment Advice Surgery

Following two employment advice surgeries earlier this year held in conjunction with Southwark Works, Simon Hughes MP will be offering further assistance and advice on employment issues at the re-opened Southwark Works centre in Bermondsey.

"Southwark Works provide fantastic help with all aspects of finding and returning to work, including preparing CVs and practising interview skills," says Simon Hughes.

"At previous surgeries we have worked together to help people who had recently been made redundant from places such as Woolworths as they move into other employment.

"We are also helping local residents who have been unemployed for a longer term to gradually get back into work.

"Looking for work in the current economic climate is diffcult for people from all over the constituency

"I am pleased that this collaboration with Southwark Works has continued to allow people to gain practical help and advice.

"I look forward to welcoming people on 25th September and continuing to help Southwark Works in the future to support people through the first steps back into employment."
