the Lions part invites everyone to their 20th Autumn Harvest celebration in association with Borough Market's 10th Apple Day.
October Plenty begins on Bankside near Shakespeare's Globe at 12 noon and continues at Borough Market
Meet the Corn Queene, the Hobby Horse and Berry Man and join the procession to Borough Market.
Savour and sample magnificent food, cider and apple juice on offer. See the Ravensbourne Morris dancers.
After a performance of the Fabularium join in Apple games. The day ends with the celebrated dance the Execution of John Barleycorn and the stripping of the Corn Queene.
Story telling for children.
Display of London related apples: taste the old, the rare, the local & the downright odd.
At the end of the day, everyone is invited to visit & decorate the historic Cross Bones Graveyard in Redcross Way.
