Ela Piotrowska this week joined Morley College as the adult education college's principal.
Piotrowska succeeds Philip Meaden who last month became principal of Leeds College of Music.
Her most recent job was with education watchdog Ofsted leading inspection teams across the country.
"I'm delighted to join Morley," says Ela Piotrowska. "The college makes an important contribution to lifelong learning. It has a rich history, a wonderful range of courses and a vibrant student community.
"I look forward to leading Morley through a period of challenges and opportunities in adult education and developing the college for future generations."
As well as a comprehensive range of full and part-time courses for its 11,000 students, Morley College in Westminster Bridge Road has a lively programme of public performances, lectures and exhibitions, details of which can be found in our what's on section.
