Market Cleaner

Borough Market is looking for a Market Cleaner to join our team in order to help us meet the challenges of a demanding year ahead.
The role is 40 hours per week, with 22 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, on a rotated shift pattern, 5 days over a 7 day week. Uniform will be supplied including PPE, with training provided where necessary.
You will be expected to undertake a wide range of cleaning and tidying tasks to ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the Market at all times. The role also involves the setting up and taking down of market stalls on trading days, plus a wide range of additional duties associated with market days, in order to ensure that health and safety policy is complied with.

The successful applicant will be hard working and flexible, with a positive attitude. The ability to work alone as well as part of a close team is important. Honesty and punctuality are also key requirements, with an enjoyment of working outside all year round being a prerequisite. Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, as you will be in contact with the public.
