Maintenance Officer (Mulberry Housing Co Operative)

About this role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Officer to join CSCB. This is an exciting new full time position and we are looking for someone to be responsible for managing the reactive maintenance service to Mulberry Housing Co-operative which is located adjacent to the CSCB offices in Stamford Street.

You will be responsible for recording both verbal and automated maintenance issues and ensuring they are resolved within the agreed service levels. You will maintain and manage the portfolio of approved contractors for the business, managing the relationship with contractors to ensure issues are dealt with within agreed service levels. You will liaise with the client representative and ensure status reports are delivered in a timely fashion and you will have total responsibility for running data capturing and recording on the asset management system.

You will be required to respond to occasional emergency maintenance calls which will be outside of office hours. These will need to be passed onto the relevant person(s) for action; therefore, it is essential that the successful person is willing to be flexible.

Person description

The successful person will possess the following:
A recognised qualification - either an NVQ Level 2 in Housing or CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Maintenance (QCF) or equivalent.
Knowledge and practical experience of delivering front line housing maintenance services with previous exposure to housing refurbishments and health and safety requirements.
Knowledge and experience in using housing or facilities management databases.
High level of customer service.
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
