About this role

Time Commitment: Minimum commitment 1 year. 30 hours, 4 days a week (Monday – Friday) from 9.00am – 5.30pm (we can be flexible on days/timings).

Develop a creative fundraising campaign aimed at individual donors and then market the campaign via direct mail, email and Connect's website. The role will involve working closely with the full-time Fundraising Manager and the part-time Development Manager and Fundraising Administrator.

The main duties will involve the following:
• Source, identify and create innovative content which is 'on brand' and can be used to engage new donors and retain regular donors
• Produce materials to market the campaign e.g. advert for Connect's website, posters etc.
• Research and collate a list of individuals suitable for approach
• Implement direct mailings using the mail merge function on the database
• Produce an electronic version of the campaign which can be sent via email and then implement the mailing
• Maintain accurate and up to date records on the fundraising database including donors approached
• Manage relationships internally and externally to ensure that the campaign commences as planned and runs to schedule
• Build and develop donor relationships

Person description

Essential Skills Overview
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn and a keen interest in gaining experience in Fundraising & Marketing
• Confident telephone skills
• Ability to work as part of a small team as well as on own initiative
• Reasonable knowledge of MS office applications, including Excel, and using the internet for research
• Aptitude for gaining new computer database skills
• Reliable
