About this role

Project Developer to manage the feasibility stage of the Peckham Kitchen, a new community kitchen for local producers, community partners and individuals to make, bake, eat and promote healthy, local and affordable food right on the high street.

Person description

The freelance role will involve facilitating public consultations and events as well as creating a
business plan that will help secure start up funding for the community kitchen in Peckham.
We are looking for someone dynamic, talented and creative who can project manage this
opportunity over a three month period, from mid September to mid December.

Essential skills, qualities and experience;
• Proven experience of business start up.
• Strong communicator - comfortable working with others and with good people skills.
• Self‐motivated, organised and capable of working with little supervision and on own initiative
• Experience facilitating events and workshops
• A commitment to equal opportunities and diversity
• Interest in local food, communities and enterprise.

Desirable skills and experience;
• Have knowledge and experience of Peckham and its diverse communities.
• Interested in being involved in the future of Peckham and the surrounding areas.
• Interested in local food issues.
