Warehouse Assistant Required for Borough Market Based Food Business

Wednesday 11 - 5.30

We are looking for a strong, keen and initiative-taking Warehouse Assistant to help us out at our busy and friendly HQ in Borough Market in London Bridge.

Opportunities for career progression within the company will be possible if they excel in their role.

We have a lot of local customers who need same-day deliveries. So we will give preference to candidates who will cycle into work, and who can use their own bike to occasionally help despatch these central London orders.

Duties will include:

Stock management

Helping check in and put away new stock arrivals, and making sure stock in fridge is kept in order and within date.

Orders

Helping with packing up orders when required.

Helping keep us neat and tidy

Various cleaning duties, including keeping our large walk-in fridge clean, and helping to make sure that goods and kit are stored away efficiently

Deliveries

Check with Wholesale Team if any local deliveries can be made, on foot or by bike.

Slicing

Slice and pack cured meats as required by The Wholesale Team

Market stall assistance

Assist the Borough Market stall team with lunch cover, and with taking the trolleys out to/back from their market pitch

We are seeking a physically fit and strong individual to assist with general warehousing duties plus some work on our busy market stall.

Must have excellent spoken English

Confident, energetic, takes the initiative, hard working, reliable and friendly
