About this role

St John’s is a vibrant church, beloved community hub and renowned cultural centre on London’s South Bank. More than half way through an exciting £3.8m development project which will truly reflect the church’s role as a spiritual and cultural focus, we a seeking a dynamic and imaginative Development Manager with the drive and initiative needed to help us raise the final £1.8m.

We have also set up a new charity, The Bridge at Waterloo (TBAW), providing projects in employment, heritage and the arts.

The successful candidate will work with the Vicar and the Finance & Major Fundraising Committee, focusing on fundraising for the Development Project and TBAW from trusts and foundations and supporting ReIgnite 2021, our local fundraising initiative.

Hours: 10.5 per week. Attendance at the regular staff meeting on Monday mornings at 10 a.m. would be a requirement. Some Sunday and occasional evening working will also be required. We are willing to be flexible if alternative arrangements might suit particular applicants.
