F/T Temporary Office and Library Assistant

£10.55 per hour

Full time until the 12th August 2019.

About this role

We are looking for a temporary member of staff to help with general office and library duties over an extremely busy period. The post is full time Monday –Friday 9am-5pm with an hour for lunch. We are looking for someone to start ASAP and the post runs until the 12th August.

The temporary Office and Library Assistant will generally have the same tasks day-to-day. These will be:

Unpack the CD audiobooks
Clean the CDs so they are ready to be resent
Re-shelve the CDs in numerical order
Select and pack the CDs ready to be sent out
Enter new member data into our database
Other basic library or administrative tasks as and when required.


Person description

The successful candidate will need to have an eye for detail, and be thorough, hard working and efficient. We are looking for someone who is friendly but also willing to work hard to ensure the smooth running of our library service.

About Listening Books

Listening Books is a charity for anyone whose illness, disability, specific learning difficulty or mental health condition impacts their ability to read. We are based in Lant Street which is near Borough tube and in between London Bridge and Waterloo stations.
