About this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Marketing Officer to join our organisation on a 6-month fixed-term basis. We are seeking a creative, confident enthusiastic and proactive professional with experience in a similar role.

Your main focus will be identifying and creating inspiring content and ways to reach and engage with our diverse audiences: From visitors to the shops and galleries at Oxo Tower Wharf and Gabriel’s Wharf to reaching out to parents and families about our community activities. The postholder will support the Marketing Manager working across both print and digital to increase awareness of and interest in our brand, activities and impact.

You will have an excellent design eye, strong digital skills and a passion for marketing both in online and offline environments (print media, signage, etc).

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, multi-skilled and energetic Marketing Officer to join our small but hardworking communications team and become part of an innovative, high profile, social enterprise based in the centre of London.

Person description

Degree educated (or similar) with 2-3 years experience in a similar role.

Good level of digital skills including understanding and experience of:
• website content management systems such as WordPress
• social media and management and monitoring tools such as Sprout Social, Buffer
• Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premier Pro (or similar video editing application)
• Email marketing software such as MailChimp
• SEO, Google Analytics and Google Grant/AdWords

An eye for good design and experience developing and applying strong brand across a range of channels

Attention to detail and proofing skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to write creatively for a range of media and audiences

Proactive and organised approach, able to work on own initiative and prioritise workload

A team player willing to deliver practically on the ground and be hands-on

Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills

An appreciation of the importance of a strong, consistent brand

Demonstrate a friendly, flexible and approachable manner

We are a social enterprise working in Waterloo and North Southwark, London SE1. From a derelict site in 1984, we have created a thriving, diverse, vibrant and welcoming ‘mixed use’ neighbourhood – a place for people to live, work and play.
