About this role

TRUSTEE VACANCIES

The current pandemic adds to the challenges for a charity of this size, and we are looking for three new trustees to replace ones completing their full term this year/moving away.

The Board meets up to six times per year. Meetings take place at 6.00pm (on Zoom/Microsoft Teams during COVID-19).

Person description

Time & Talents is wholly committed to inclusion and diversity, and to building a culture and environment where everyone is appreciated for the unique person that they are.

We are seeking applicants who have a strong personal commitment to Time & Talents, who either live or work in Southwark and ideally have skills and experience in:
• Human Resources
• Fundraising
• Digital

However, we are keen to meet applicants with a wide range of backgrounds and experience in order to provide a balanced and effective Board for this thriving, popular and well-established Rotherhithe institution.

About Time and Talents

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16 with our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. With a history of 134 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects. We are at an exciting stage of development. Our income has grown substantially in the last five years and this growth has enabled us to develop our programmes and activities to reduce loneliness and social isolation in the local community by supporting more older adults, children, and families. We have 16 staff and 200 volunteers. The predicted turnover for 2020-2021 is around £800k.
