About this role

We are currently recruiting for a casual worker, who lives locally to support with the set-up (and shut-down) of audio-visual (AV) equipment for conferences and meetings.

We require support either in the morning from 8am-9am or in the evening from 6pm-9pm for a maximum period of one hour per visit. The set up and shut down may only take 15 minutes, however we will pay you for the full hour. Our hourly rate is £11.32, plus you will accrue holiday for any hour that you work.

You do not require any prior experience in setting up the audio-visual equipment and will be given full training. We only require someone who is reliable, trustworthy, has a positive attitude and remains calm under pressure.

AV set-up will include:
- Turning on projector/s and screen/s
- Connecting a laptop to the projector and screen and testing before handing over to the client
- Turning on microphones and testing before handing over to the client
- Connecting a laptop to screen using ClickShare, testing and handing over to client
- Tidying and securing cables so that there are no trip hazards

AV shut down includes:
- Turning off projector/s and screen/s
- Turning of laptop(s) and storing it safely
- Turning off microphones and storing them safely
- Putting batteries back to re-charge
- Storing equipment safely

Person description

You do not require any prior experience in setting up the audio-visual equipment and will be given full training. We only require someone who is reliable, trustworthy, has a positive attitude and remains calm under pressure.

Ideally, you will live locally and within walking distance of the neighbourhood centre located at 108 Stamford Street, London, SE1 9NH
