@lizetta difference from last week is that E&C itself was at standstill then. New layout working but not fast enough to meet demand.
frogli Call me suspicious but I'm not convinced that new Elephant & Castle road layout is unrelated to fact that this bus hasn't moved in 40 mins!
As recently as 2011 TfL resisted calls to remove Elephant & Castle roundabout on grounds it wd "interfere with the traffic flow too greatly"

Traffic seems to be moving reasonably well through the E&C junction itself - it's just the capacity reduction means tailbacks elsewhere.
