Fire at Tamesis Dock floating bar on Albert Embankment

Firefighters were called to reports of smoke coming from a floating bar moored on Albert Embankment on Thursday lunchtime. Luckily, London's fire boats are based nearby and Lambeth Fire Station is just across the road.

Developer tight-lipped over Waterloo Tube's York Road closure

It's nearly three months since the newly built York Road entrance to Waterloo Underground Station closed to allow safety inspections to be carried out on the building above - and the developer has refused to be drawn on how soon it might reopen.

London Bridge shut to cars and lorries from 16 March

A seven-month programme of works to London Bridge that will involve closing the crossing to all traffic except buses, licensed taxis and people walking and cycling will begin on Monday 16 March.
