'Fastest UK home ADSL' reaches Bermondsey exchange

London SE1 website team

ISP UK Online’s groundbreaking new 8Mb ADSL service has just launched in Bermondsey. The fastest ever home broadband in the UK is available from a select number of telephone exchanges in London.

UK Online's 8Mb broadband is up to sixteen times faster than the standard 512K broadband currently available in most of London.

The first person in Bermondsey to get UK Online's 8Mb is Neil Armstrong. Speaking at the launch, Neil said: "8Mb broadband enables me to enjoy the Internet like never before. I can download music tracks and watch my favourite music videos and movie trailers over the Internet at record speeds! Having the 8Mb line means that slow download speeds are a thing of the past – I could never go back to using a slower service."

UK Online general manager Chris Stening says: "Residents in Bermondsey can now enjoy the fastest ever home broadband service in the UK thanks to UK Online. London has traditionally lagged behind capital cities like Rome, Paris, New York and Seoul, where broadband speeds of 6Mb or above have been available for some time. Now with UK Online's 8Mb, everyone in Bermondsey can be at the forefront of the digital revolution."

London residents interested in UK Online's £39.99 per month 8Mb broadband service should check availability, register their interest or place an order at www.ukonline.net/8000
