Listen up! Aspiring broadcasters sought for local radio project

London SE1 website team

Community groups in Waterloo are working on plans for a temporary radio station for North Lambeth and North Southwark this summer and are looking for groups and individuals who want to get involved.

The Hub @ Christ Church and Upton, SE1 United youth forum and Play Ltd, who run the ADI Centre in Lambeth Road, have come together to develop a radio station project to be based at Christ Church and Upton in Kennington Road, potentially on-air this August with a restricted service licence (RSL).

Groups and individuals who want to have a slot broadcasting to the local community around North Lambeth and North Southwark should get in touch now to register their interest. The project will be led by young people for the benefit of the whole community.

The organisers are currently awaiting confirmation of funding.
