Crockatt and Powell bookshop opens in Lower Marsh
Booksellers Matthew Crockatt and Adam Powell have opened a bookshop at 119 Lower Marsh. The new shop is near Iceland and Waterloo Library.
Matthew Crockatt has worked at Daunt Books, the travel bookshop, and Adam Powell at The Pan Bookshop in Fulham Road.
The independent bookshop stocks new books and cards. There are armchairs in the book lined rooms. Searches can be undertaken for new, out of print and second hand books. The shop's aim is to have ordered books available in 24 hours. Delivery to SE1 addresses is free.
Matthew describes Lower Marsh as a "cool street" and Adam enjoys hearing Ben Ben strike and seeing the London Eye from the back window.
Crockatt & Powell, directly opposite Graham Gibberd's second hand bookshop, brings the total number of bookshops in Lower Marsh and The Cut to four.
