Man stabbed to death in Old Kent Road

A man was stabbed to death near the Total petrol station in the Old Kent Road on Monday night.

Police were called to the Old Kent Road at 10.30pm where officers discovered a man in his 30s with a stab wound to the upper body.

The victim is described as north African in appearance.

Detectives said he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11pm.

The incident occurred near the Total petrol station near the junction of Old Kent Road and Penry Street.

Old Kent Road remained sealed off between Dunton Road and East Street during Tuesday morning's rush hour.

Northbound:buses were diverted via Grange Road and southbound buses via Mandela Way.
