Join the Angels and help a neighbour

London SE1 website team

Elephant Angels, the community advocacy project serving SE1, SE11 and SE17, is looking for volunteers.

The Angels say that their scheme will help volunteers to gain new skills, improve their job prospects and make new friends whilst helping their neighbours.

The scheme is flexible – volunteers decide for themselves when to help and how much time to give.

Examples of how volunteers can assist include helping someone settle into a new club by going with them till they gain confidence, taking someone to sign up for a training course, giving out information about local events and groups or general help in the office.

If you want to get involved (and you live in SE1, SE11 or SE17), call 020 7921 0361 and ask for an application pack.

Volunteers will receive help with expenses like bus fares and lunch.

You can find Elephant Angels at Blackfriars Settlement, 1-5 Rushworth Street SE1 ORB
