New director for Tom Blau Gallery

While following in the footsteps of her family name, Emma Blau, granddaughter of Tom Blau, will take over the Tom Blau photographic gallery.

Emma studied photography at Goldsmiths as the third generation Blau to show a passion for photography. Being based in London for the past 10 years, Emma has established herself as an imaginative artist . Her astounding portraits have been featured in Marie Claire, The Times, and The Sunday Times magazine.

Emma stated that “This is an exciting time for both the gallery and myself. I am looking forward to showcasing the very best in both classic and contemporary photography.” Emma will be continuing the strong programme at the gallery which was established by her predecessor Keith Cavanagh.

The first show Emma will be opening is from 10 April until 16 May entitled “Caught on Camera”, which features vintage photographs from the Camera Press archive founded by her grandfather. Emma's new expertise will surely be advantageous for the gallery.
