Two arrested after Elephant & Castle altercation

Two men were arrested on Sunday afternoon after what police described as an 'altercation' outside Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre.

Southwark Police were called to the Elephant & Castle Shopping Centre just after 2pm on Sunday.

When they arrived officers found two men who had both sustained injuries.

One of the men was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where he was subsequently arrested

The other man was also arrested and taken to a south London police station.

The incident was investigated by detectives from Southwark CID and both men were released from police custody without charge on Monday morning.
