A pedestrian has suffered head injuries after he was injured in a collision at Elephant & Castle on Saturday evening.

Police were called to Elephant & Castle by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian outside the London College of Communication at about 7.20pm on Saturday.

St George's Road was closed to traffic whilst the emergency services dealt with the incident.

The air ambulance was called but the pedestrian – a man in his 30s – was taken by road to King's College Hospital where he was treated for head injuries.

On Monday his condition was described as 'stable'.
