Not Dire
I don't if this has changed or if it was a bad day for the previous reviewer . . .

Clean unpretenious cafe. Yes, the staff are Eastern European but are perfectly friendly. The prices are good, it's very clean and the food is standard cafe fare, with large portions. Popular with both workmen and city workers, free wi-fi and a nice building with outside seating. Been there a good few times and never had a bad experience.

Dire.
You have to be careful here, on the face of it, it looks ok. Nice display counter, clean tables (actually because no one eats there), ...........condiments all arranged neatly etc etc

However it is yet another place run incompetently with all the front of house staff being non-English speaking Eastern Europeans' who understand as much about food health & hygiene as I do heart surgery.

Asking for a sausage and egg cob, (sorry we're in London, 'roll), with an extra egg, results in them cooking up one egg, taking another egg, removing the yolk, to serve to someone else as a full 'egg'. leaving my extra egg to be the white and charging me an extra 60p for it.

Absolute joke - rude staff when they get fustrated with not being able to understand English, overall, 1 out of 10.
