Can scientists find new ways to replace missing teeth?

Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College London's National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre is focusing on dental research at its next Cafe Research event.

These events are an opportunity for Londoners to engage in an interesting discussion on an exciting area of medical research over a cup of tea or coffee.

A short informal presentation is followed by an audience-led discussion with researchers working at the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre.

Dr Jonathan Davies, consultant in dental radiology at Guy's Hospital, will give an insight into future options surrounding replacing missing teeth and assessing bad teeth on x-rays.

Sophie Auckland, the Biomedical Research Centre's User Involvement manager, said: "This is the second in our series of Cafe Research events.

"The first discussion showed just how engaged local people can get in the research developments taking place on their doorstep."

To reserve a place email [email protected] or phone Sophie Auckland on 020 7188 6333.

Refreshments will be available.
