The Tea & Coffee Festival aims to promote the best tea and coffee companies in the UK and beyond and raise awareness for quality tea and coffee and ethical practices.
The festival will consist of a colourful and interesting market hosting an array of stalls as well as demonstrations and events across the weekend.
The event forms part of Southbank Centre's programme of celebrations of the Festival of Britain's 60th anniversary.
The event will be a special opportunity for visitors to learn all about the nation's favourite drinks and discover the vast varieties small, independent, as well as established brands, have to offer.
There will be an array of companies showcasing their high-quality products as well as an exciting schedule of events throughout the festival which will include tutored tastings, traditional tea ceremonies, demonstrations, tea and coffee cocktails, barista competitions and more .
The festival will also include foods and desserts that complement the drinks such as tea and coffee macaroons, traditional tea biscuits, churros with mocha flavoured chocolate, cakes and speciality sandwiches.
