Power and Man brings together 20 contemporary printmakers from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania highlighting the work of artists crossing different generations The exhibition presents the work of established and well known artists from the Baltic States alongside the work of emerging artists.

All the participating artists have a shared history of living in countries under the shadow of the USSR and the experience of a recently gained freedom. The aim of the exhibition is to portray the diversity of the experiences of time and history and the changes that came with it. The generational differences of the artists highly influences the nature of the work contained in the exhibition. The generations of artists who lived and worked under the control and power of the Soviet Union have a completely different perspective to the new generation of artists who work in independent countries, where culture is not subject to the same level of control.
