High up on the upper decks of HMS Belfast, two percussionists perform a five-minute intense, virtuosic duet in military snare drum style Ė but instead of snare drums, they play on parts of the ship. Itís a short, sharp drumming conversation, with the audience on the riverside walkway. This performance responds to the shipís monumental and haunting past, and is the first part of a two-year project which will culminate at the Thames Festival 2012.
